“Committed to the Higher Standard” – A phrase that caught the eye of Dr. Ryan Reid while searching for his forever dental practice – a place called SoundBridge Center for Dental Arts.

SoundBridge has been a staple dental office since 2005. And in 2021, the reins were carefully passed to Dr. Reid, who assumed ownership from long-time doctor Karla Bloomquist. “I was drawn to SoundBridge by the reputation and ongoing commitment to provide high-quality, thorough patient care,” he states.

Dr. Reid attended Western University of Health Sciences College of Dental Medicine in Pomona, California, during which time he was selected to the Dean’s List and served as class Ethics Chair. Upon graduation he was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He graduated with his degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine and has been practicing in the Tacoma area since 2015.

“My mother worked in dental offices while I was growing up, and she worked for some incredibly kind and talented dentists,” Dr. Reid remembers. “Seeing how impactful the relationships they created with patients over the years was a primary motivator to pursue a career in dentistry.”

At SoundBridge, Dr. Reid and staff offer a wide range of services, encompassing general and restorative dentistry, cosmetics, dental implants, clear aligner orthodontics, and sedation dentistry, just to name a few. They are available for urgent dental services, and they also love to see your little ones for their first dental checkups. The team remains “committed to the higher standard” and continues to provide prompt, exemplary care through a seamless transition.

"Having innovative technology in our practice, as well as going beyond what is required with advanced and continuing education, helps us deliver the care we strive for; but at the end of the day, it’s really about delivering care with unexpected kindness and compassion,” Dr. Reid affirms.

Dr. Reid feels privileged to practice in this area and to care for the people of this community — a community he grew up in himself — one that he loves. And when it comes to what he finds most rewarding, he says, “Helping a patient with fear or anxiety of the dentist overcome that barrier, create positive experiences, and restore their confidence in their smile. I believe everyone deserves to smile proudly and joyfully."

SoundBridge Center for Dental Arts is open 7am to 4pm Monday through Thursday. Dr. Reid and his team look forward to serving you and making your smile shine!
