The Race for a Soldier half marathon and 5k (and virtual run) will be taking place Sunday, September 10, at the Tom Taylor Family YMCA in Gig Harbor. 2023 marks the 13th annual Race for a Soldier, an event put on by The Permission to Start Dreaming Foundation, which strives to bring awareness to the "invisible wounds" epidemic that affects too many of our nation's veterans and first responders. Registration is open through September 9 online at PTSDFoundation.org/race-for-a-soldier. To race virtually is just $45; the in-person 5k is $40, $20 for 12 and younger, while the half marathon is $75, $30 for 12 and younger.
