With over 300 cars and 165,000 square feet of space to explore, LeMay - America’s Car Museum is the destination for car enthusiasts and families to experience the history and progression of the automobile.
As you walk up the steps and take in the vast structure and grand entrance of the building, you will quickly begin to notice its resemblance to that of a hood scoop you would see on that of a vintage Ford Mustang. Once inside, you will find yourself immersed in a wonderland of vehicles—more than 300 to be exact. Spanning 165,000 square feet across four floors, these vehicles have been carefully curated throughout the unique architecturally designed space.
Featuring its distinguished Showcase Gallery, guests to America’s Car Museum will discover over a century's worth of history, stories and progression of the automobile—from the steam-powered horseless carriages of the 1800s to the brand new 2022 Ford GT. Take an adventure through history as you experience handcrafted coach-built cars of the roaring ‘20s and extravagant, robust Cadillacs of the fabulous ‘50s. Take a trip down Route 66 in its heyday and see the muscle cars that drove it. Experience the birth of NASCAR, encounter a variety of European imports, and even get a look at how cars of the future might be driven with alternative fuel sources.
The world-class rotating exhibitions are changed several times a year, allowing visitors to discover something new each time they visit the museum.
America’s Car Museum also serves as an educational center for students of all ages. Family STEAM Days are held every third Saturday of the month (included for members or with museum admission); visitors 18 and younger receive complimentary admission to the museum on these days. Then there’s the Racing Zone with professional-grade racing simulators and a finely detailed slot car track for fun competition between family and friends.
Don’t miss the hands-on Family Zone with Pinewood Derby track and touch-friendly activities—great for kids of all ages.
The 3.5-acre grass show field adjacent to the building provides ample space for car shows, live music festivals, and drive-in movies.
