On November 14th, 2024, from 12-8 pm, this event was more than just a shopping day—it was a lively celebration of our community and the amazing local businesses that make Gig Harbor so special.
Why Shop Social Matters
Gig Harbor isn’t just a beautiful harbor town; it’s a tight-knit community with a rich history and dynamic small businesses that are the backbone of our local economy. The Gig Harbor Waterfront Alliance is pivotal in organizing events like Shop Social that keep our community thriving.
Shop Social was all about bringing people together. Locals and visitors had the chance to fully immerse themselves in downtown Gig Harbor's one-of-a-kind shopping atmosphere. With businesses offering exclusive discounts, tasty food and drinks, and fun little gifts, attendees were treated to an unforgettable day.

I'm a hometown girl with deep ties to Gig Harbor. My family arrived here in the late 1800s, and we've been part of the real estate landscape since 1969. Supporting our local businesses isn't just a business decision for me; it's a personal mission. When local businesses thrive, the entire community reaps the benefits. More jobs, better community services, and a vibrant local culture are just some rewards of a robust local economy.
